I first came across the name Britany Felix in the Podcast Editors Club Facebook group. Britany was someone who always had a thoughtful answer for questions posed to the group. We actually met in person last summer in Orlando at Podcast Movement and have interacted much more lately on social media. I’m thrilled to have her as today’s guest.
Britany takes me through a journey I know all too well -getting tired of a corporate job and discovering podcasting, podcast consulting, and podcast editing. And she doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to discussing her transition.
As her business grew, Britany learned that there were certain types of people – and personalities – she worked best with. This led her to carving out a niche for herself in creating podcasts for various coaches.
We take a deep dive into the tough moments and decisions that often need to be made when owning your own podcasting business – including when you have to turn money away. (Spoiler: its never easy.)
We also discuss travel, how COVID-19 has affected the podcasting space, and preview the upcoming virtual Podfest event this August.
